About GrowSignal

I’ve spent my career in the gap between the growth plan and what it takes to make it work.

I’m Joelle Ayala. For more than 15 years, I’ve led growth from inside companies, worked alongside founders, and stepped into the messy moments when the answer crossed marketing, sales, product, operations, and the team itself.

The point of view

The work usually gets interesting where the org chart stops helping.

I’ve rarely seen a meaningful growth problem live neatly inside one channel. The ad may be underperforming because the positioning is off. The pipeline may look weak because follow-up is inconsistent. A marketplace may be adding users while failing to create enough useful matches.

I built GrowSignal for those situations: when someone needs to see across the work, make the call, and stay close enough to execution to learn whether it was the right one.

From Joelle

I learned growth by being responsible for what happened next.

I started closer to the channels: acquisition, demand, conversion, content, and the systems behind them. Over time, the remit kept getting wider because the real problem kept sitting somewhere else. That took me into revenue operations, product-led growth, partnerships, team priorities, and eventually general management.

At Jammcard, a growth mandate became work across positioning, HubSpot, pipeline, lifecycle, sponsorship, and the weekly commercial rhythm. At SchoolGig, I moved from Head of Growth to Head of Marketing to General Manager, then Lead Advisor. Those experiences changed how I work: I care about the idea, but I care just as much about whether a team can operate it on Monday morning.

I’ve also worked across B2B technology, healthcare, recruitment, ecommerce, education, professional services, and marketplaces. The industries differ. The useful habit is the same: understand the business in front of me before deciding what kind of growth work it needs.

How I got here

The remit widened as the problems did.

Each stage taught me to look beyond the requested tactic and understand the decision underneath it.

01

I learned the channels from the inside

Across roles at Happy Returns, Arise Virtual Solutions, Integra Connect, and GERSTEL, I worked on acquisition, demand, conversion, and revenue programs—with budgets, handoffs, and targets attached.

02

I started connecting the commercial system

At Jammcard, the job stretched across positioning, demand, HubSpot, pipeline, lifecycle, sales process, sponsorship, and the cadence that kept opportunities moving.

03

I became the general manager

At SchoolGig, my role grew from Head of Growth to Head of Marketing to General Manager, then Lead Advisor. Growth was no longer a department; it was a set of product, revenue, partnership, operating, and team decisions.

04

Now I’m building the tools I wanted as an operator

My current work combines growth leadership with AI-assisted research, automation, opportunity intelligence, and practical tools that make a complicated decision easier to inspect and act on.

What you can expect from me

A point of view, a working plan, and a clear view of what I know, what I think, and what still needs testing.

01

Show the reasoning

I’ll separate what the evidence says, what I think it means, and what we still need to learn.

02

Make a recommendation

You’ll get a clear priority and a sequence, including the work that can wait.

03

Build with the team

The best plan uses the judgment already inside the company and gives the team something it can keep using.

04

Stay close to the result

We’ll decide what should change, how we’ll see it, and what the result tells us to do next.

Working with GrowSignal

You work directly with me.

I lead the diagnosis, prioritization, and core operating work, and I stay with it from recommendation through implementation. When the mandate needs deeper creative, development, media, or specialist support, GrowSignal adds the right people around the same plan.

A clearer next move

Start with the decision—not a channel.

Bring the growth question that matters. We’ll look at the evidence, identify the most credible opportunities, and define what should happen next.
